Legislators chosen for reserved seats are suspended by ECP

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Peshawar High Court’s (PHC) decision regarding Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) reserved seats were both stayed on May 7 by a three-member Supreme Court bench presided over by Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah.

The distribution of reserved seats to coalitions was halted last week by the speaker of the Punjab Assembly.
