The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and the Australian head held a discussion on military and security cooperation.

On Monday, General Angus J. Campbell, the Chief of Defence Forces of Australia, visited Rawalpindi and met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the meeting involved in-depth discussions between the two senior military chiefs regarding defence and security cooperation, regional dynamics, and global security problems.

Both parties reaffirmed their determination to boost and intensify security and defence collaboration between the two nations.

The Australian dignitaries expressed their admiration for the high level of professionalism exhibited by the Pakistan Armed Forces, as well as their notable accomplishments in combating terrorism and their ongoing endeavours to promote regional peace and stability.

Upon his arrival, General Angus J. Campbell was greeted by a well-dressed tri-services contingent and honoured with a Guard of Honour.

General Angus J. Campbell is currently in Pakistan for the 13th Round of Pakistan-Australia Defence and Security Talks and the 10th Round of 1.5 Track Security Dialogue.
