The Met Office predicts rain for today in Punjab’s KP and Pothohar.
Extreme heat is expected to continue in the country’s southern regions, according to a weather forecast from the Met Department. Meanwhile, rainfall is expected in some areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar, and northeast Punjab.
A severe heatwave is expected to persist in parts of Balochistan, Sindh, and the southern provinces of Punjab, according to the department. Locals are urged to stay hydrated and take the appropriate safety measures to prevent heat-related illnesses.
However, it is anticipated that rain would fall in a few areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Swat, Chitral, Dir, Abbottabad, Haripur, and Mansehra are among the places where the department has predicted rain. The current scorching weather in these locations is predicted to temporarily subside with the arrival of this rains.

Residents of Sindh and Punjab are advised to be aware of an upcoming intense heatwave in a serious advice issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Thursday in June.
Extreme heat waves with dangerously high temperatures are predicted for Sindh’s districts of Umarkot, Tharparkar, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, and Sanghar. The districts of Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur in Punjab are also probably going to be under the heavy influence of the heatwave.
