Online services for tax certificates and new connections are provided by K-Electric.

Customers of K-electric can now receive a tax-paid certificate on their home energy bills, among other benefits the company has announced.

The application provides access to income tax, advance tax, and withholding certifications. Customers can obtain the tax certificate without going to the offices, according to a K-Electric representative.

“Government laws and the Income Tax Ordinance govern all taxes on electricity bills,” the spokeswoman stated.

K-Electric said that consumers can apply online for new connections and name changes, which is a huge relief for Karachiites in the sweltering heat.
