Pervaiz Elahi is removed from the no-fly list by LHC

On a plea filed by Chaudhary Parvez Elahi, Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza issued the order. The son Rasikh Elahi and daughter-in-law Zara Elahi’s names were also ordered to be taken off PCL by the court.

For the purpose of facilitating their overseas travel, Pervaiz Elahi had petitioned the court to have their names removed.

With the assistance of legal advice, Chaudhary Parvez Elahi argued that it was illegal for the federal government to have included his name on the aforementioned list.

With no customary press statement, PTI’s President was freed from prison on May 21 after a year-long legal fight.

Elahi thanked fans in a statement following his release for their steadfast help during his recent hardships. I express my gratitude to Allah for bestowing upon me the bravery to stay firm. Additionally, I am appreciative of the judges who upheld the truth and gave me their support.

On June 3rd, 2018, Elahi was first taken into custody in connection with the recruiting of the Punjab Assembly. Following his claimed unlawful appointment of Bhatti, he was then taken into custody on September 18 and placed under judicial detention by a Lahore court.
