An arrest warrant without the option of bail has been issued for Sher Afzal Marwat.
The warrant was issued in response to a complaint filed by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) concerning improper construction activity in the vicinity of the Thalian Motorway Interchange.
The court issued a directive to apprehend Sher Afzal Marwat and bring him before the court on July 30.
The RDA filed a prosecution against Marwat for unauthorized construction of buildings, which is a violation of development standards.
Marwat is accused of constructing buildings on a land without acquiring the required approvals, which goes against the regulations set by the RDA.
On July 13, Sher Afzal Marwat’s basic party membership was suspended by the party on the instructions of PTI founder Imran Khan, due to his ‘violation’ of discipline and principles.
Sher Afzar Marwat’s membership was suspended due to his inability to meet the party leadership’s expectations in response to the show-cause notices issued to him.
A commission of inquiry was established subsequent to the authorization of the party leadership by the PTI founder to take punitive measures against individuals who had contravened the policy.
Sher Afzal Marwat has been suspended for his persistent breach of party discipline and making derogatory remarks about the leadership, as stated in a notification issued by PTI Secretary-General Omar Ayub.
The notification stated that Sher Afzal Marwat’s activities resulted in harm to the party and its leadership, and he has failed to present adequate justifications for his conduct.
Prior to this, the PTI issued a show-cause notice to Sher Afzal Marwat for his dissemination of reckless utterances.
PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan sent a warning to Marwat, requesting an explanation for his words within a three-day period. These statements have been considered harmful to the party’s reputation.
The notification declares that making such utterances goes against the party’s code of conduct and contravenes the explicit directives of the party’s founder, Imran Khan, who has underscored the significance of accountable conduct.
Marwat was cautioned that if they did not react or give a satisfactory explanation, it could result in more disciplinary measures.
