A man who is being sought in connection with a murder investigation has been extradited from Oman.

The Punjab Police had Qazim Ali, the person who was apprehended, wanted in multiple instances, according to the FIA spokesperson.

The accused was linked to a murder case, according to an FIA official, and left the country in 2022.

Once back in Karachi, the detained suspect was then turned over to Punjab police.

The National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had apprehended nine wanted individuals from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) one day prior.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the Punjab Police had several cases involving the people who were in custody.

Irfan Asghar, Samar Abbas, Najibullah, Muhammad Rafeeq, Muhammad Saqib, Muhammad Usman, Tariq Mehmood, and Farhan Nazakat are among the defendants who have been arrested.

The accused were linked to murder and attempted murder cases, according to the FIA spokeswoman, and some of them had eluded capture for as long as 14 years.

A delegation has been sent to the United Arab Emirates to arrange for the extradition of the arrested persons, and they will be returned to Pakistan.
