Government to step up anti-drug initiatives in Sindh

Excise Narcotics Control Wing officers reported on current anti-narcotics operations during a meeting presided over by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.

Asserting that drug dealers are a serious menace to society and that they will never be pardoned, Minister Memon emphasized the necessity of strict measures.

In order to emphasize the urgent need for more enforcement and more successful case prosecution, he cited the rising supply and usage of narcotics in both urban and rural areas.

To reduce the flow of drugs into the province, Minister Memon also ordered the interprovincial border screening system to be strengthened.
