A fire breaks out in a high-rise structure located on Sharea Faisal in Karachi.

According to preliminary information, a fire broke out in the Kashif Center building, which is situated in the busiest section of Sharea Faisal.

Preliminary assessments indicate that a brief electrical malfunction in the wiring ignited the fire.

The fire originated in the wiring duct, and the building lacked an emergency exit.

The fire that originated on the second floor subsequently extended to the higher levels. Several individuals are currently trapped inside the structure and are being evacuated.

There are currently eight fire tenders and a snorkel being used to extinguish the fire.

In the preceding month, a fire erupted on the fourth floor of the exchange building in Karachi.

According to a PSX spokesperson, a fire broke out at approximately 8am, causing some damage to materials.

Authorities have reported that a total of five fire tenders, one snorkel, and a browser were utilized in the firefighting operation to extinguish the fire at the Pakistan Stock Exchange building.

After the event, trading at PSX was temporarily halted and then resumed at 12:25 .
