Speaking at a ceremony on energy sector reforms in Islamabad, PM Shehbaz Sharif said the government will not be raising the electricity rates for protected consumers who consume up to 200 units of power for three months.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealed: “The domestic consumers who consume up to 200 units of electricity will get a subsidy for three months—July, August, and September.”
For the three months of July, August, and September, 25 million domestic consumers—up to 94 percent of the total—will gain from this package, he claimed.
