In order to look further into the claims of power abuse within the prison, the authorities have now begun looking into the involvement of a number of other jail staff members.

The former prime minister was reportedly given unlawful privileges during his incarceration by a number of people, including Nazim, the jail aide, and former deputy superintendent Zafar. Near Adiala Jail is reportedly where the arrested former deputy superintendent dwells.

Six staff members are currently being investigated in relation to the evidence supplied by Muhammad Akram, a former deputy superintendent who spent fifteen years in Adiala Jail at different points in time until being fired in June. Rumor had it that Akram was tight with these six employees.

Suspected to be facilitating illicit communications, Akram is said to have intimate connections to Imran Khan. Authorities have reportedly discovered how much mobile phone access Khan was given in breach of jail rules, which is a sign that the probe is moving along favorably.

Research points to the usage of three European countries’ WhatsApp numbers as a means of facilitating these talks.

Based on his apparent closeness to PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari, Akram is being accused of serving as Imran Khan’s go-between. On the purportedly illegal facilities given to the former prime minister, the jail administration is expected to convene today.

Adiala Jail’s former deputy superintendent Muhammad Akram and an associate superintendent are conducting an investigation in the meantime. Investigated for allegedly supplying Imran Khan with facilities against jail manual, the detained staff are thought to have allowed the PTI leader access to his cell while they were on duty.

In June, a complaint from security agencies led to the dismissal of Assistant Superintendent Muhammad Bilal and Superintendent Akram. The probe has now covered more ground since they were removed, looking into additional correctional employees.

The jail management is anticipated to convene shortly to go over the results and decide on next steps while the inquiry progresses.
