Due to the heavy rains, the metro bus service has been suspended.

The district government has informed us that the service between BCG Chowk and BZU Station has been suspended or terminated.

In the event that the WASA line is stabilized and the necessary repairs are carried out, the administration has guaranteed that the metro bus service would be established again.

There was significant flooding throughout the region as a result of the torrential rains that affected Multan and other portions of Southern Punjab.

Since it had been raining nonstop, the roads and streets had taken on the appearance of ponds. With 177 millimeters of rain reported at the Chungi No. 9 Disposal Station, the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) in Multan, a record that had stood for 48 years has once again been shattered. Rainfall totaling 134.5 millimeters was the previous record, which was established in 1976.

Managing Director Khalid Raza Khan of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has declared a rain emergency as a response to the severe rains that have been occurring. The efforts of the WASA to improve drainage are ongoing, and the Commissioner of Multan Division, the Deputy Commissioner, and the Director General of the Multan Development Authority (MDA) are receiving monthly information on the situation. In spite of these attempts, low-lying parts in Multan have been inundated, placing residents in a position where they face substantial difficulties.

The precipitation has also resulted in the trip of a number of electricity feeders that are controlled by the Multan Electric electricity Company (MEPCO), which has caused power disruptions in a number of different places. In the event that the rain ceased, authorities from MEPCO guaranteed that the power restoration process would start.

The Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner have given the WASA officials the instruction to remain on high alert since they anticipate that there will be additional rain in the coming days. The drainage infrastructure of the city, on the other hand, is having a hard time keeping up with the flood of water.

There is a high probability that the rain will continue for the next few days, according to the Meteorological Department.
