A private airline’s aircraft was “hit by a bird” as it took off from the Lahore airport.
During takeoff from Lahore airport to Karachi, a private airline’s aircraft was struck by a bird, according to sources. One of the aircraft’s engines was damaged in the crash.
They wheeled the passengers inside the lounge. To examine the aircraft, the department of civil aviation dispatched its technical team.
In addition, during the first half of 2024, birds struck at least 38 Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft.
Reports from January to June indicate that 38 instances of birds hitting people were recorded. There have been reports of incidents in Islamabad, Dubai, Jeddah, Gilgit, Faisalabad, and Sukkur.

The study also stated that during the first half of 2024, five of the 38 PIA aircraft were damaged by birds, but 33 aircraft were spared severe damage.
Airbus 320 and three Boeing 777 aircraft are among the damaged PIA jets. All across the world, but particularly in Pakistan, there are frequent reports of birds striking aeroplanes. Drives to make sure the regions around airports are clean have been conducted by the CAA.
The completion of Pakistan International Airlines’ privatisation is anticipated to occur in September rather than August.
