Bail for Amna Urooj in the Khalilur Rehman honey trap case was denied.
Amna Urooj is presently in judicial detention; her bail plea was denied by the ATC judge.
The judicial remand of the suspects in the abduction case was earlier extended by an ATC judge on September 4.
After her court remand expired, the investigating officer presented Amna Urooj before the ATC. To extend the prime suspect’s judicial remand, the investigating officer asked the ATC judge.
Accepting the plea of the investigating officer, the ATC ordered the police to bring Amna Urooj before the court on September 17 and extended her judicial remand for a further 14 days.
In the earlier case of Khalilur Rehman Qamar’s kidnapping, the Lahore police apprehended the leader of the honey trap squad.
Police from Lahore apprehended Hassan Shah and his accomplice Rafique in Peshawar. The 12 members of the gang, including women, included the suspect as their leader, according to the police.
Previous arrests made by the police in relation to the case included 12 individuals, one of them was a woman. An incriminating footage of Khalilur Rehman Qamar is purportedly shared by the suspect.
Qamar reported that he was being kidnapped because of these offensive videos, based on the suspect’s statement to the police.
Renowned screenwriter alleged to have been kidnapped and robbed in Lahore on July 22. Earlier that day, a 12-person gang—among them the primary female suspect—was apprehended by Lahore police on charges of kidnapping and robbing a well-known dramatist.
