Planned road closures and traffic detours for Karachi’s Chup Tazia processions
Beginning at 6:30 am from Nishtar Park, the first of the two Chup Tazia processions will end at Noor Bagh, Musafir Khana, which is situated in the Moosa Lane neighborhood.
The following roads will be traversed by it: Bolton Market, Bombay Bazaar, Market Road, Mahabat Khanji Road, Atma Ram Pritam Das Road, Moosa Lane, Noor Bagh Musaafir Khana, Father Jaminis Road, M. A. Jinnah Road, Nishtar Park, and Shahnawaz Bhutto Road.
Nishtar Park, Shah Khurasan, MA Jinnah Road, Saddar Dawakhana, and the connecting roads to Husainiya Iraniyan Imambargah will also be blocked to traffic during the procession.
According to the traffic police’s diversion plan, traffic from Nazimabad would be redirected via Lasbela Chowk towards Nishtar Road, and traffic from Liaquatabad will be redirected via Teen Hatti towards Lasbela Chowk.
The traffic from Garden that is going to the MA Jinnah Road will also be diverted via Anklesaria Hospital and directed towards Gul Plaza.
Traffic plan for the second Chup Tazia.
Beginning at the Rizvia Society at 1pm, the second chup tazia procession is expected to end at the Imam Bargah Shah-E-Najaf on Martin Road.
The route between Karimabad Flyover and Water Pump will be closed until 1pm for this procession. Furthermore, vehicles will not be allowed on the Altaf Hussain Barelvi Road between Bara Board and the Gujjar Nala Crossing.
Moosa Colony would be the destination of the traffic diversion from Karimabad Chowk, according to traffic cops.
In the interim, Friday’s Green Line Bus Rapid Transit Service (BRTS) will be momentarily discontinued.
