The government would deploy Rangers for security in the Islamabad Red Zone.

The capital city will be guarded by paramilitary rangers till the end of the next SCO conference.

This month, on October 15–16, Pakistan will host a two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit conference in Islamabad.

According to sources, paramilitary force members would be stationed outside all important government buildings to provide security.

According to other sources, Rangers men will be stationed along all interior highways within the red zone of Islamabad.

The nation’s highest executive, judicial, and legislative authority buildings, as well as foreign embassies and missions, are located in Islamabad’s Red Zone.

Mohsin Naqvi, the interior minister, presided over a meeting on Wednesday during which a security plan for the next SCO summit was finalized.

The interior minister announced at the meeting that a number of state and national government heads will be present.
