In a statement released on Monday, the Chinese embassy in Islamabad stated that two Chinese nationals were killed and one injured in an explosion that occurred on Sunday night close to Karachi’s Jinnah international airport.
According to a statement, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates General in Pakistan “strongly condemn this terrorist attack, express deep condolences to the innocent victims of both countries and sincere sympathies to the injured and (their) families.” It also states that the Chinese authorities have been assisting the Pakistani authorities in the events that have followed.
The Chinese embassy has demanded that Islamabad bring penalties against the perpetrators of a deadly assault on Chinese people close to the Karachi airport.
The embassy pleaded with Islamabad to look into the attack thoroughly and punish those responsible seriously. The necessity of taking decisive action to guarantee the security of Chinese nationals, organizations, and projects in Pakistan was again emphasized by the Chinese envoy.
