Bilawal Bhutto Zardari promises to establish a constitutional court and judicial reforms.
Bilawal stated in his post on X that the PPP incorporated judicial reforms into its 2007 agenda. The establishment of a constitutional court has been included in the PPP’s electoral manifestos for 2013 and 2024, he stated.
The PPP has contested every election since 2007 with a manifesto commitment to implement judicial reforms, including the establishment of federal constitutional courts.
Our permanent party position has remained consistent for nearly two decades. The members elected during my Chairmanship of this party have received a mandate from the people of Pakistan to establish a Federal Constitutional Court with equitable representation for all.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that some current adversaries have previously endorsed judicial reforms. Their dissent today stems from individual preferences or partisan stances regarding current political issues, he remarked in his piece on X.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had expressed apprehensions regarding the judicial system, highlighting that a political issue emerges every six months, resulting in several unresolved cases.
“How can you disregard the accumulation of unresolved cases while attending to other issues?” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized the necessity for an effective judicial system.
He referenced Article 63(A) and inquired about the postponements in rendering essential decisions, asserting, “How can I be expected to await a decision on such a significant matter until October 25?”
