Extensive operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore
During a significant anti-narcotics operation at Lahore Airport, authorities confiscated 28 capsules containing crystal meth from the stomach of a passenger traveling to Saudi Arabia.
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) apprehended two persons attempting to carry more than two and a half kilograms of narcotics to Dubai.
The operation was part of a comprehensive national initiative, culminating in 11 arrests across nine operations. The ANF seized a total of 212 kilograms of drugs, comprising hashish and opioid tablets, from multiple sites around Pakistan. Twenty kilograms of ice were confiscated in Kasur, and five kilograms of opium were taken from suspects in Lahore.
A suspect near a university in Islamabad admitted to distributing drugs to students, and further investigations are ongoing. The ANF has filed complaints under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the apprehended persons, with investigations actively ongoing.
