With 60.81 million female voters and 70.71 million male voters, the current voter total stands at 131.53 million.

Significant criticism has been directed at the ECP, especially after the 2024 elections, when several political parties claimed that the party had mishandled the results, especially with regard to Form 47.

In a recent decision concerning reserved seats, the Supreme Court (SC) also voiced its concerns, denouncing the ECP for its performance in the February 2024 elections.

As a cornerstone of the democratic process, the court stressed that the ECP must function as an impartial entity rather than an enemy in electoral affairs.
