In the D-Chowk protest case, Aleema Khan and Uzma are granted bail.
After hearing the case and hearing arguments from both parties, Judge Abual Hasnaat Zulqarnain of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan’s post-arrest release request against Rs20,000 surety bonds each.
While trying to get to D-Chowk for a scheduled protest on October 6, the Islamabad police detained a number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, including the sisters of party founder Imran Khan.
When Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema and Uzma Khan, came at D-Chowk to join the party members in the scheduled demonstration, they were arrested by the police.
In the Toshakhana-II case, Bushra Bibi, the wife of the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was released from Adiala Jail on Thursday after being granted bail.
The post-arrest bail request of Bushra Bibi against Rs1 million surety bonds was granted on Wednesday by Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the Islamabad High Court.
Additionally, the court ordered that the former first lady be released right away.
Bushra Bibi spent about nine months in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail. After being released from prison, she left.
On January 31 of this year, Bushra Bibi was given a 14-year prison sentence by a court in the Toshakhana case.
When Bushra Bibi visited the jail, she offered to be arrested.
After her jail sentence in the Toshakhana case was postponed by the Islamabad High Court, she was detained once more in the Toshakhana-II case.
