Police conduct a raid in the Dolphin Ayan video case to apprehend suspects
The move was launched in collaboration with Shabqadar police to capture the culprits, according to a Peshawar police official.
The criminals who allegedly recorded Dolphin Ayan’s pornographic video last year and used it for extortion and blackmail were apprehended by the authorities in up to four different locations.
Police in Peshawar, meanwhile, stated their intention to apprehend the perpetrators who used harassment and blackmail against the transgender person.
For the first time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dolphin Ayan filed a case under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 alleging that a transgender person had been harassed and blackmailed.
Seven people were detained by the KP police on suspicion of harassing and blackmailing Ayan.
According to Ayan’s complaint, in 2023, she was grabbed at gunpoint by a suspect named Imran and his associates, who then recorded a pornographic movie.
Imran and the other accused allegedly used the footage for extortion and blackmail, according to Dolphin Ayan.
On October 29, the complainant claimed to have learnt that the video had lately gone popular on social media, harming her family and reputation.
