A kilogram of sugar will now cost just Rs.140, thanks to a price cut announced by the federal government and implemented at utility retailers.
Consumers will feel some comfort from the growing cost of living thanks to a recent announcement that sugar prices have been reduced by Rs.13 per kg. At one point, a kilogram of sugar cost Rs.153.
Sugar prices have been cut even further, according to the notice, from Rs.152 to Rs.149, an earlier reduction.
Part of the continuous endeavor to make necessities more affordable for the public is the price adjustment.
