Five Khwarij were killed and four army personnel were martyred in the KP IBO.

According to the military’s propaganda wing, “a fire exchange occurred between the Security Forces and Khwarij in general area Karama, South Waziristan District, on November 6, 2024.” It further stated that the successful engagement of security personnel resulted in the deaths of five Khwarij.

“But after fighting valiantly during the fierce firefight, four courageous sons of soil, Naib Subedar Taib Shah (38 years old, from District Tank), Lance Naik Gulab Zaman (30 years old, from District Karak), Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood (30 years old, from District Karak), and Lance Naik Habibullah (28 years old, from District Orakzai), embraced Shahadat,” the ISPR stated.

Additionally, it stated that the sanitization operation is being carried out to eradicate any remaining Khwarji in the region because Pakistan’s Security Forces are committed to eliminating the threat of terrorism and the valiant warriors’ sacrifices only serve to fortify our determination.

Earlier on October 30, three army personnel, including a major, accepted martyrdom while eight Khawarij were killed by security forces in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Bannu province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“The military’s media wing stated that on October 30, 2024, Security Forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in the general area Bakka Khel, Bannu District, on reported presence of khwarij.”

It also stated that Major Atif Khalil, a courageous commander who was leading his forces from the front during the fierce gunfight, battled valiantly and embraced Shahadat with his two comrades. Khalil is 31 years old and from District Sudhanuti in AJ&K.

Naik Azad Ullah (36 years old, from District Karak) and Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas (35 years old, from District Layyah) were the two troops who gave their lives.
