Flight arrangements for the Hajj 2025: Religious ministry and PIA reach an agreement

The Hajj 2025 flights have been finalised thanks to an agreement between Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The agreement states that 35 thousand pilgrims will be able to use the national flag carrier for their Hajj 2025 journeys thanks to the government program.

Arrangements with Saudi Airlines and other local carriers will likewise be finalised soon, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ spokeswoman.

Both public and private programs would receive 50% of the Hajj quota in Pakistan, according to the country’s Hajj Policy 2025. Furthermore, under the policy, no one under the age of twelve would be permitted to observe Hajj this year.

Additionally, the Hajj Policy 2025 states that both injured pilgrims and their families will be reimbursed in the event of a pilgrim’s death, with the family receiving Rs2 million.

The Hajj Policy 2025 instituted a new method of paying the Hajj payments in installments, with first-time pilgrims being given preference. However, this year we will not be allowing anyone to go who is very sick or who could potentially spread infection.

As part of the policy announcement, Chaudhry Salik stressed that measures will be taken to ensure that the quota remains unchanged. Whenever quota from the sponsored plan is not fully utilised, it will be redistributed to regular pilgrims. Pakistanis living abroad also have their own reserved allotment of 5,000.

A reimbursement of Rs100,000 is on the way to pilgrims, and the Hajj fee will stay between Rs1.075 million and Rs1.175 million, as per the rules.

The Hajj Policy 2025 allows for a three-part payment schedule: two hundred thousand rupees with the application, four hundred thousand following the lottery, and the remaining balance before leaving for Hajj.
