The GHQ attack case has postponed the indictment of the PTI founder until November 28.
The accused people’s absence caused the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi to postpone the indictment, according to the information.
Muhammad Faisal Malik, a lawyer for the PTI, claims that traffic jams prevented the accused from showing up for court.
Amjad Ali Shah, the ATC judge, presided over the proceedings and postponed the case till November 28.
In a recent development, Imran Khan acknowledged that he had called for a nonviolent demonstration outside the General Headquarters.
The PTI founder reportedly described how the police “attacked” and stormed his home in the court complex on March 14 and 18, while speaking casually to the media in Adiala Jail.
He claimed that attorneys promised to cooperate with the investigation on March 14 of last year. In spite of this guarantee, the police and Rangers broke into his home and looted it.
“I know the police want to arrest me because they attacked me again on March 18 when I appeared at the judicial complex,” the PTI founder said.
He went on to say that in preparation for his potential arrest, he had called for a nonviolent demonstration outside the GHQ.
In the Toshakhana II case, Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), obtained bail on November 20.
After Imran Khan’s bail was granted against two surety bonds of Rs 10 lacs each, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) declared its decision and ordered his release.
