Four checkpoints in Bannu are abandoned by police due to security concerns.

According to information, checkpoints in the Tangi, Kanda, Nasri Khel, and Tora Tak regions were closed since they were judged superfluous.

District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed claimed that the checkpoints were situated in places where they were no longer required. Six police checkpoints had already been closed in various locations before the decision to close the checks.

At least twelve security guards accepted martyrdom on November 20 when they committed suicide at a checkpoint in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The ISPR claims that Khwarij made an attempt to attack a joint checkpost in the MaliKhel region. After forces successfully blocked the entry attempt, the khwarij was forced to crash an explosives-laden truck into the post’s outer wall.

A piece of the perimeter wall collapsed as a result of the suicide explosion, which also damaged the nearby infrastructure. Twelve individuals, including two Frontier Constabulary soldiers and ten security forces soldiers, were killed.

The ISPR stated that law enforcement and security personnel are committed to eradicating the threat posed by terrorists. It stated that the sacrifices made by our courageous men fortify our determination.
