If the PTI crosses the “red line,” Mohsin Naqvi threatens harsh punishment.
Speaking to journalists in Islamabad, the interior minister stated that the PTI has been permitted to demonstrate in the Sangjani region and that the government has been ordered by the Islamabad High Court to start negotiations with the party.
“The government will not allow the PTI to go beyond the red line,” he continued.
The government will have to adopt harsh measures, including curfew, he warned, if the PTI tries to step over the line. Mohsin Naqvi asked the PTI leadership to avoid making things worse till the government is forced to act in an extreme manner.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had earlier told reporters that the administration and PTI were not in the midst of any talks.
He issued a warning that anyone trying to go to D-Chowk would be prosecuted. The interior minister explained that he hasn’t had any meetings with any PTI officials in the Minister’s Enclave.
Anyone who reaches D-Chowk would be detained, according to Mohsin Naqvi, and the government will not permit anyone to just enter and exit.
The interior minister also questioned the PTI’s protest call’s timing in light of foreign delegations visiting the nation. He claimed that the administration is still awaiting a response from the PTI, which has received the message.
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the PTI chairman, denied having any discussions with the government in a separate statement. If such discussions do occur, the public will be notified, according to a statement from Barrister Gohar Ali Khan.
Under Imran Khan’s direction, the PTI chairman stated that he had met with the party’s founder earlier on Monday and that internal discussions were under progress.
For a “do-or-die” protest, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur led a PTI gathering.
The Gandapur-led gathering is reportedly now under the control of Islamabad. At the Hakla junction, convoys from the Hazara division, DI Khan, and Balochistan joined the motorcade procession led by CM KP.
Alongside Ali Amin is Bushra Bibi, the wife of the PTI founder who is currently in prison, as well as other senior PTI officials.
