The 21st shipment of humanitarian aid from Pakistan to Palestine and Lebanon arrives in Damascus.
Pakistan has successfully landed its twenty-first shipment of humanitarian aid for the war-torn people of Palestine and Lebanon in Damascus, Syria.
On Wednesday, the National Disaster Management Authority and the Government of Pakistan sent seventeen tons of humanitarian supplies by chartered flight.
The humanitarian aid was given to Pakistan’s ambassador in Damascus, Shahid Akhtar.
Providing humanitarian aid to the war-torn populations of Palestine and Lebanon is a priority for the Pakistani government.
Pakistan declared in October of last year that it would be delivering aid to Palestinians who were suffering from Israel’s ceaseless bombing.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the Foreign Office spokesperson, announced during a weekly news briefing on Thursday that a chartered aircraft would leave Islamabad for Egypt this afternoon with 100 tonnes of necessary medical supplies, tents, and blankets.
These goods would be sent to the Gazan people from Egypt, she continued.
She also demanded that the brutal blockade and bombardment of Gaza end immediately and expressed unhappiness with the outcome of the United Nations Security Council’s (UNSC) emergency meeting.
