The Punjab district of Sheikhupura is holding by-elections on December 5; hence, a public holiday has been declared.
A public holiday has been proclaimed in the district on the day of the poll because, according to the facts, a by-election will take place in the Punjab Assembly constituency of PP-139 Ferozewala on December 5.
Additionally, a public holiday notice for December 5 has been issued.
The office of the Deputy Commissioner sent out the notice of the public holiday.
The Punjab Assembly’s PP-139 seat became vacant following the passing of Rana Afzal Hussain, who had previously won a seat in the by-election following Rana Tanveer Hussain’s resignation.
The Deputy Commissioner of Sheikhupura, Shahid Imran Marth, has been named the District Returning Officer by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Usman Jalees, Sheikhupura’s Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), will be the Returning Officer. Muhammad Adeel Khan, Ferozewala’s Assistant Commissioner, and Rana Bakhtiar Ahmad, Ferozewala’s Deputy District Education Officer, will be the Assistant Returning Officers for the by-election in Sheikhupura’s PP-139.
