Pakistan denounces the confiscation of IIOJ&K properties.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated during her weekly news briefing in Islamabad today that Pakistan has continuously promoted positive involvement and goal-oriented communication to address all unresolved issues, including the Jammu and Kashmir conflict.

However, she noted that India doesn’t seem to have the political will to settle disagreements and conflicts through discussion. Pakistan wants peace and stability in the area, Zahra Baloch said, adding that it believes in peaceful coexistence.

She claimed that despite the challenges in their bilateral relationship, Pakistan has been behaving responsibly. She stated that the neighbor to the east should establish a favorable atmosphere for the promotion of peace and communication as well as the settlement of long-standing conflicts.

Concerns were raised by the spokesperson on the ongoing confiscation of Kashmiri property in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In order to harass and frighten the Kashmiri people and punish them for holding opposing political beliefs, she claimed the Indian activities are a part of a larger campaign to seize Kashmiri lands and properties. She pleaded with Indian authorities to respect their international duties as an occupying power and to stop their current campaign of property seizures.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed grave concerns about the recent events in Syria, saying that he believes the current state of affairs will further destabilize the area and give terrorist organizations more confidence. For regional stability, she continued, it is imperative to advance peace and security in Syria.

In order to maintain Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, she urged international measures to defuse the situation.
