Pakistan’s sluggish internet speed is brought to the attention of the federal government by LHC.

A hearing was held by the Lahore High Court over a plea to increase internet speed nationwide. The federal government and other relevant parties were sent letters by the court asking them to provide their answers.

The Judicial Action Panel filed a miscellaneous petition, which was heard by Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal.

The petitioner claims that, according to World Population Review data, Pakistan has the 198th-fastest internet in the world. In order to improve internet speed across the country, the petition asked the court to impose orders.

Furthermore, the petition requested that the court remove limitations on the use of virtual private networks, or VPNs.

In order to move on with the case, the court has requested responses from the pertinent agencies.
