Old teachers will be phased out by the education department.
The decision has been made by the School Education Department to phase out older teachers.
District Education Authorities have been requested by the department to provide information on teachers who wish to retire voluntarily.
In particular, the department asked about teachers who were 50 or 55 years old and those who had served for 25 years.
The requested information comprises the teachers’ designation, educational background, date of birth, and posting information.
This information has been urgently requested from all schools by the School Education Department.
There are currently approximately 8,000 teachers with an FA qualification and about 12,000 instructors with matriculation qualifications in the department.
