A police officer was killed in a terrorist strike at a Shangla checkpoint.
In Chakesar, a town and tehsil of the Shangla District in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, the militants opened fire indiscriminately and threw hand grenades at the Gananagar police check post. ASI Hassan Khan and head constable Nisar Ahmad were killed instantly, and three other officials, identified as Muhammad Hussain, Arshad Khan, and Rifat, were injured.
Once the incident was over, the terrorists were able to flee the scene.
In the meantime, a large police presence arrived at the scene of the crime and began a search in an attempt to apprehend those responsible for the fatal assault. Both the deceased and the wounded police officers were sent to DHQ hospital in Battagram.
Mohsin Naqvi’s remarks
Minister Naqvi vehemently denounced the latest terrorist attack on a police checkpoint in the Shangla district by terrorists.
He paid tribute to the two police officers who were killed in the attack: ASI Hassan Khan and Head Constable Nisar Khan.
In his condolences, the minister hoped for the three wounded officers’ speedy recovery and expressed his deepest sympathies to the martyrs’ families.
“ASI Hassan Khan and Head Constable Nisar Khan have achieved the highest martyrdom rank,” he said. We stand resolutely with their families, and our martyrs are our pride.
Minister Naqvi also praised KPK police officers and staff for their crucial contribution to the fight against terrorism.
He praised the courage and commitment of the KPK police, reiterating that their sacrifices would always be remembered.
