The recent improvements in Pakistan’s economy have been praised by U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome, who pointed to a significant drop in inflation and other optimistic indicators.

During an American Business Forum session in Lahore, the US envoy made these statements. Ambassador Blome was welcomed by US Consul General in Lahore Kristen Hawkins, president of the American Business Forum Kamran Khan, and CEO of Ecowest International Wasim Anwar.

“Recently, Pakistan’s economy has shown encouraging indicators. “Inflation has also decreased considerably,” the ambassador said.

Ambassador Blome was upbeat about Pakistan’s economic future during his speech, stressing the significance of upholding reform pledges made under the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program. “We hope Pakistan continues on this positive economic path and adheres to its IMF reform commitments,” he added.

According to Blome, who highlighted the accomplishments of US corporations in Pakistan, more than 80 American companies have directly employed 120,000 Pakistanis and indirectly created jobs for over a million people.
