In Punjab, dense fog closes several highways.
Motorway police closed certain M-2, M-3, and M-4 portions to all traffic in the early hours of Tuesday because of the heavy fog that had descended on the region.
According to the information, the severe fog has caused the M-2 to be closed from Thokar Niaz Beg to the Kala Shah Kaku Interchange. Additionally, because of the fog’s limited visibility, all traffic from Kot Momin to Lillah Interchange is prohibited from using the freeway.
Due to fog, M2 is still closed between Thokar Niaz Beg and Babu Sabu.
Additionally, the motorway M3 is closed from Samundri to Darkhana because of fog-induced low vision, and the Pindi Bhattian to Multan portion is also closed because of heavy fog.
According to the motorway police, they made the decision to close the motorway in consideration of the security and safety of the public.
They also suggested that the public should prefer to travel during the day, with the optimal times to use the motorway being from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
