Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem was promoted to Vice Admiral.
Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem has been elevated to Vice Admiral, effective immediately.
According to a news release from the Directorate General of Public Relations (Pak Navy), Vice Admiral Muhammad Saleem was appointed to the Pakistan Navy’s Operations Branch in 1991.
The Flag Officer holds degrees from the Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore and the National Defence University in Islamabad. He has also completed an MPhil in Public Policy from National Defence University and an International Electronic Warfare Manager Course in the United Kingdom.
The Admiral has a distinguished career, having held numerous command and staff positions. His significant command postings include Commanding Officer of PN Submarines Hamza and Hurmat, Commander of the 9th Auxiliary and Mine Hunting Squadron, Commandant of PNS Bahadur, and Commander of Karachi.
His significant staff assignments include Senior Staff Officer (Operations) to Commander Submarines, Director of Naval Operational Plans, and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel) at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad. He also served as Director-General of the National Intelligence Academy in Islamabad. Vice Admiral Muhammad Saleem also worked as the Director of Staff at the National Defence University in Islamabad and as Pakistan’s Naval Attaché in India. The Admiral is currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Training & Personnel) at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
The Admiral received the Hilal-Imtiaz (Military) medal in appreciation of his distinguished service.
