Long-term stability depends on ongoing political participation: Sanaullah

Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s advisor on political affairs, stated on Monday that ongoing political discourse is a crucial component of Pakistan’s parliamentary democracy.

He told a private news program that political participation should never stop and should always be an ongoing process.

He stated that for the long-term political stability of the nation, the government thought it was important to continue the engagement and conversation process.

In response to a query on the direction of the continuing debate, he stated that the government would carefully examine and discuss the written demands made by the opposition.

In addition to an action plan, he promised a formal written answer. After these talks, he added, it would be beneficial if a consensus could be established.

He emphasized that in spite of disagreements, political parties must continue to engage and communicate with one another in order to maintain the integrity and functionality of the democratic process.
