KP Chief Minister Gandapur is granted three weeks of protective bail.
In any case filed against him, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) has prohibited authorities from detaining Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The chief minister’s bail petition was decided on Thursday by a bench made up of Justice Waqar Ahmed and PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim.
The KP advocate general and Gandapur’s attorneys attended the court.
The chief minister was in Islamabad for a meeting with the federal government, according to the advocate general, who also submitted a petition to have his appearance in the case exempted.
Later, the bench postponed the hearing to February 11 and granted the KP chief minister three weeks of protective bail.
Additionally, the top court ordered the authorities to refrain from making any arrests.
