Once more, fog causes traffic jams on Punjab’s motorways
On Thursday and Friday night, dense fog once more engulfed major Punjabi cities, including Lahore, impeding daily activities and causing traffic jams.
Road traffic flow has been severely impacted in a number of cities by the dense fog.
A representative for the Motorway police said that all traffic has been prohibited from using Motorway M2, which runs from Lahore to Kot Momin; M3, which runs from Lahore to Darkhana; M4, which runs from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad; and M11, which runs from Lahore to Sialkot.
Drivers are encouraged to travel on Grand Trunk (GT) Road by the motorway police. Drivers have also been advised to turn on fog lights and drive more slowly.
People have also been warned by the Motorway police to stay at home and refrain from needless travel. Traffic has also been hampered by dense fog in a number of locations across the nation on national routes because of poor visibility.
