Gohar complains that the PTI’s intra-party election certificate has been delayed.
Despite responding to all constitutional and legal inquiries, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has yet to provide a certificate of intra-party elections, according to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan.
He claimed that the PTI conducted the intra-party elections in compliance with the law and the constitution while speaking to reporters outside of ECP.
“Everyone supported PTI founder Imran Khan, who is the party’s emblem,” he said.
He added that they have a constitutional and legal right to the certificate and expressed his hope that the party would be granted it at the upcoming hearing.
He recalled that some key documents had been taken by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) during the raid on the party headquarters.
PTI is the biggest political party in Pakistan and among the biggest in the world, he underlined.
After a parliamentary committee is established, the PTI chairman stated that the appointment process for the chief election commissioner will be carried out in accordance with the constitution.
