The US and Pakistan agree to strengthen their bilateral ties.
Mohsin Naqvi, the interior minister, and US senators have decided to advance bilateral ties between the two nations.
On an official visit to the United States, Naqvi met with Republican Congressman Jack Bergman and Democratic Congressman Thomas Richard Suozzi, both of whom are part of the Pakistani Caucus in Washington.
The officials’ discussions covered topics of mutual interest, such as the relationship between the United States and Pakistan, as well as other significant concerns, such as the state of affairs in Afghanistan.
Congressmen Thomas Suozzi and Jack Bergman were asked by Minister Naqvi to visit Pakistan, which he said would improve bilateral relations.
The US is a major economic and defense partner of Pakistan, the interior minister told the US congressmen, adding that the South Asian nation valued US collaboration in its social areas. He emphasized that Pakistan’s bilateral ties with the US were particularly important to the country.
Pakistan wanted to work with the US more in every way, Naqvi continued.
In addition to pledging to visit Pakistan shortly, Congressman Thomas Suozzi reaffirmed his commitment to deepening ties with Pakistan.
Additionally, the meeting decided to organize the Pakistani Caucus Conference on April 30 in Washington, DC.
The conference was also attended by Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s ambassador to the US.
