CJP Yahya Afridi is hosting a judicial commission meeting today.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, will preside over a meeting of the judicial panel today (Thursday).
46 candidates are on the agenda for the appointment of 12 more justices to the Sindh High Court. Along with 40 attorneys, the list also contains six district and session judges.
Among the district and session judges are notable figures such as Ameer Ali Mahesar, Tasneem Sultana, Munawar Sultana, Mushtaq Ahmed Laghari, Khalid Hussain Shahani, and Suresh Kumar.
Among the notable attorneys being considered are Muhammad Usman Ali Hadi, Obaid-ur-Rehman Khan, Rafique Ahmed Kalwar, Umaima Anwar Khan, Miran Muhammad Shah, Raja Jawad Ali Sehr, Riazat Ali Sahir, Nisar Ahmed Bhambhro, and Ali Haider Ada.
Mohsin Qadir Shahwani, Qazi Muhammad Bashir, Sandeep Malani, Muhammad Hassan Akbar, Syed Ahmed Shah, Imdad Ali Unar, and Chaudhry Atif Rafiq are among the other candidates that the committee will examine.
The meeting’s objective is to select the best applicants to serve as Sindh High Court judges.
