Cold and arid conditions will dominate the entire country, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts predominantly cold and dry weather for the majority of the country, with extremely cold temperatures anticipated in mountainous regions over the next 24 hours.

Shallow to moderate fog is expected in isolated areas of south Punjab and upper Sindh throughout the morning and evening hours.

The synoptic analysis indicates that continental air predominates in most regions, while a westerly wave affects the western and higher sections of the country.

In the last 24 hours, chilly and partly overcast weather was seen across most regions of Pakistan, with rain and snowfall occurring in select locations of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and northern Balochistan.

On Wednesday, Leh recorded the lowest temperature in the country, plummeting to -10 degrees Celsius.
