The nomination of judges from other provinces to the IHC is welcomed by the High Court Bar Associations of Sindh and Balochistan.
The appointment of judges from other provinces to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has been praised by the Balochistan High Court Bar and the Sindh High Court Bar Association.
The inclusion of justices from smaller provinces is a good thing, according to a statement made by Barrister Muhammad Sarfraz Ali Metlo, president of the Sindh High Court Bar Association. “This is a significant step towards reinforcing the federal character of the Islamabad High Court,” said he.
In a similar vein, Attaullah Langau, president of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association, praised the action and emphasized that the president of Pakistan has the constitutional power to select and move judges.
