Irfan Siddiqui: The PTI can only move forward through serious negotiations.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has stated that the alleged letter that Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), wrote to the Chief of Army Staff is proof of his intense annoyance and reflects the party’s disapproval of the military.

Writing such a letter and asserting that a rift has formed between the public and the military forces is “deeply regrettable,” he said, at a time when officers and soldiers are being killed in the battle against militancy.

He stated during a chat show on a private television channel that this letter would not be acknowledged or responded to in any way.

He recalled that in early 2023, Imran Khan had also corresponded with General Asim Munir.
