Today, the Jirga met to bring peace back to Kurram.

To discuss reestablishing peace in Kurram district, a jirga with members from both factions is set to meet in Kohat on Thursday (today).

The gathering would concentrate on ways to guarantee enduring peace in the area, Irshad Hussain Bangash, a member of the Jirga, confirmed. He underlined the parties’ shared commitment to reopening the Thall-Parachinar Road as soon as possible for regular traffic.

“The session on Thursday will review progress on the implementation of the peace agreement,” said Fakhar Zaman, another member of the jirga. “Efforts are underway to facilitate the reopening of the Thall-Parachinar Road,” he said.
