PTI is only concerned in getting Imran Khan released: Former Prime Minister Abbasi

There are divisions even among opposition groups, according to Awam Pakistan Party leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who emphasized that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is only concerned with getting Imran Khan released.
Speaking on the “Baat Niklegi” show on Dunya News, Abbasi made it clear that his party has no plans to participate in any protest on a political platform. “If any party wishes to hold rallies, they are free to do so on their own,” said the politician.
In reference to judicial problems, Abbasi stated that the Chief Justice no longer has the authority to make decisions following the 26th constitutional amendment. He stated, “Today, the system of justice is in the hands of the executive, not the Chief Justice,” and added that he had always understood the real goals of the judicial independence movement. “That movement was, in reality, aimed at removing General Parvez Musharraf,” he stated.
Abbasi revealed, citing previous incidents, that the administration had intended to send Musharraf overseas but the plan was thwarted. “Musharraf’s aircraft was not allowed to leave, and the military did not accept the change in Army leadership,” he stated.
Abbasi charged that former Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa was responsible for the overthrow of his government in response to a question. “After I became Prime Minister, General Bajwa met me and said, ‘It is our responsibility to respect you,’” he stated.
Regarding Dawn Leaks, Abbasi disclosed that he was under the wrath of both General Bajwa and Nawaz Sharif. “Nawaz Sharif felt that he had been treated unfairly,” said the politician.
