Law ministry suggests schemes to connect 13 main prisons with courts.

On Tuesday, the National Assembly Standing Committee on Law and Justice was advised that the government has suggested initiatives connecting 13 Pakistani main prisons to courts.
Legislator Muhammad Bashir Virk chaired the Senate body here; other members, Minister of Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and officials from the Ministry of Law and Justice, also attended.
During the meeting, the law ministry also withdrew the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Amendment Bill, which proposed to increase the NAB remand from 14 days to 40 days.
Five projects were approved by the Standing Committee on Law within the National Assembly. According to Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, following a Monday Parliament session, there would be a 10-day session.
Members who become ministers are no longer members of the committee, the head of the committee said.
Law Ministry officials said that they are digitizing all the Islamabad courts and connecting the national financial courts with the system.
According to the committee chairman, a structure constructed here is quite security-threatening and highly unsafe.
One can monitor the Supreme Court, Parliament, and PM House via this structure.
