President Zardari departs on a two-day visit to Dubai.

, President Asif Ali Zardari departed Islamabad on Thursday for a two-day visit to Dubai. On March 15, the president is anticipated to return home.

While Asif Ali Zardari is in Dubai, Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will serve as Pakistan’s acting president. The Senate Secretariat claims that an official notification in this regard has been made by the Cabinet Secretariat.

The Pakistani Constitution states that in the event of the president’s leave, a foreign travel, or any other unforeseen circumstance, the Senate chairman assumes the responsibilities of the acting president.

The Senate’s acting chairman will be Syedal Khan, the deputy chairman.
